IT FOR SCHOOLS AND LEARNING PROGRAMS.

A school network faces a load profile almost no business does: hundreds of devices arriving at once, all connecting in the same ninety seconds, many of them in the hands of people actively trying to get around the rules. Design for that or spend the year firefighting.

High density
wireless designed for a full class connecting at once, not average load
1:1 fleets
enrolled, filtered, patched, and recoverable when a device walks off
FERPA-aware
student records access controlled and logged, not shared by convenience

Cloud Guardian delivers managed IT services, campus wireless engineering, and cybersecurity to private schools, charter schools, and education programs in New Jersey. Work includes high-density wireless site surveys and design for classroom and auditorium loads, 1:1 device fleet management for Chromebooks, iPads, and Windows laptops, content filtering and safety controls, student information system and learning platform support, student data privacy practice aligned to FERPA and New Jersey student data protection expectations, campus cabling and fiber, and E-Rate-aware infrastructure planning.

WHAT BREAKS
DURING A SCHOOL DAY

The recurring pattern in school assessments.

01 ๐Ÿ“ถ

Wi-Fi that fails at 8:15 and during testing

Access points placed for coverage instead of capacity, so a classroom of thirty devices contends for one radio. Standardized testing then becomes an IT emergency every spring. High-density design is a different exercise from coverage design and cannot be retrofitted with more access points.

02 ๐Ÿ’ป

A device fleet nobody controls

Chromebooks and iPads handed out without enrollment, so patching, filtering, app control, and recovery all depend on the student's cooperation. At year end a meaningful share of the fleet simply does not come back.

03 ๐Ÿ“‚

Student records shared by convenience

Grades, IEP documents, and behavioral records emailed between staff and stored in personal drives. FERPA expects access control over education records, and a shared spreadsheet in a mailbox is the opposite of that.

04 ๐ŸŽฎ

Filtering students route around in a week

Bypasses spread faster than any policy update. Filtering has to be enforced at the device and identity level, not only at the network edge, or it stops working the moment a student uses cellular or a VPN app.

HOW WE BUILD A CAMPUS

Controls, not adjectives. Each of these is something we configure, document, and can show you evidence of.

WHY SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION FIRMS
LEAVE THEIR OLD MSP.

Legacy providers price like it is 2014 because their stack is from 2014. We run a modern, automated, AI-assisted operation, which costs us less to deliver and costs you less to buy. Same room, better outcome, roughly half the invoice.

 Typical legacy MSPCloud Guardian
Monitoring Alerts nobody reads until you call them AI triage that opens, correlates and often closes the ticket before you notice
Response Tier 1 reading a script, escalation next business day Senior engineer on the first touch, 24/7, no phone tree
Documentation Lives in one technician's head Written, versioned, and handed to you, you own it, not us
Tooling The same RMM they bought in 2014 Current EDR, current identity stack, current automation, reviewed quarterly
Billing Per-seat minimums, 36-month lock-in, surprise project fees No minimums, no long lock-in, scope and price in writing before work starts
AI Not in the stack, and not in the roadmap Used to cut ticket volume and audit every action, with logs you can read

WHAT WE ACTUALLY
DELIVER

The services schools and education clients use most. Everything else we offer is available too.

QUESTIONS WE GET
FROM SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION CLIENTS

Do you work with public districts or only private schools?

Both. Private and charter schools are our most common education clients because they buy directly, but we also respond to public district and municipal solicitations. See our local government and public sector page for how we handle bids and RFPs.

Can you design Wi-Fi for standardized testing loads?

Yes, and that is the load we design to rather than average daily use. We survey to per-room device counts and validate with testing-day conditions in mind, because a network sized for the average will fail on the day it matters most.

Do you manage Chromebook and iPad fleets?

Yes. Google Admin and Apple School Manager enrollment, policy and filtering, app deployment, patching, inventory, and recovery controls. We also handle the summer refresh and re-enrollment cycle.

Are you E-Rate familiar?

We design and document infrastructure with E-Rate categories in mind so eligible work is clearly separated from ineligible work, and we support your filing consultant with the technical documentation and quotes they need. We are not a filing agent.

Can you provide filtering that meets our safety obligations?

Yes. Device and identity level filtering with category policy, reporting, and alerting on concerning search or content activity, applied consistently on and off campus for school-owned devices.
